To recognise and honour the achievements of the Professor, a distinguished past pupil of Jaffna Central College (1959 – 1965),

Professor Sir Sabaratnam Arulkumaran is currently Professor and Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at St George’s University of London and President of the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. Appointed Knight Bachelor by H M The Queen in 2009 for services to Medicine.
